Figure 1
Education required, by kind of work
How many robot training roles require a college degree, and how many a high school diploma?
| Kind of work | A degree, no alternative | A degree or experience | High school diploma |
|---|---|---|---|
| All roles read | n/a | n/a | n/a |
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 whose job board publishes a full description (0 employers and programs), 0.0% of all open roles.
Each role counts once, at the highest education its description requires. A degree offered with an alternative ('or equivalent experience') counts as 'a degree or experience', never as a degree requirement; a degree named only as a preference counts as none.

Figure 2
Licences and certificates required
How many roles require a driver's license, a CDL, a drone pilot certificate or a pilot license?
| Licence or certificate | Roles requiring it | Share of roles read |
|---|---|---|
| A driver's license or clean driving record | 0 | n/a |
| A commercial driver's license (CDL) | 0 | n/a |
| An FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate | 0 | n/a |
| A pilot license (private, commercial or ATP) | 0 | n/a |
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 whose job board publishes a full description (0 employers and programs), 0.0% of all open roles.
Read as requirements only: a licence named as a preference does not count. A CDL requirement is counted on its own line and not again as a driver's license.
Part 107 is the FAA's remote pilot certificate for flying drones commercially in the United States (a knowledge test); a pilot license (private, commercial, ATP) takes logged flight hours.

Figure 3
Minimum age and lifting limits stated
How old must applicants be, and how much must they be able to lift?
| Requirement | Roles | Share of the roles stating it |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum age 18 | 0 | n/a |
| Minimum age 19 or 20 | 0 | n/a |
| Minimum age 21 | 0 | n/a |
| Minimum age 22 or older | 0 | n/a |
| Lift Under 30 lbs | 0 | n/a |
| Lift 30 to 49 lbs | 0 | n/a |
| Lift 50 to 74 lbs | 0 | n/a |
| Lift 75 lbs or more | 0 | n/a |
Sample. 0 of the 0 roles read state a minimum age (n/a) and 0 a weight to lift or carry (n/a).
The minimum age is the one the description states (18 to 25); the lifting limit is the heaviest load in pounds the description says an applicant must lift or carry. Age shares are of the roles stating an age, lifting shares of the roles stating a weight.

Figure 4
Years of experience required
How much work experience do robot training roles ask for?
| Experience required | Roles | Share of roles stating years |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 years | 0 | n/a |
| 3 to 4 years | 0 | n/a |
| 5 to 9 years | 0 | n/a |
| 10 years or more | 0 | n/a |
Sample. 0 of the 0 roles read require a number of years of work experience (n/a); 0 require years of licensed driving.
The most years any of the posting's requirements names counts, because requirements usually apply together. Years of licensed driving ('3 years of driving experience') are a condition of the licence and are kept apart from work experience.

Figure 5
Weekly hours stated
How many hours a week do robot training roles expect?
| Hours stated | Roles | Share of roles stating hours |
|---|---|---|
| Under 10 hours a week | 0 | n/a |
| 10 to 19 hours | 0 | n/a |
| 20 to 29 hours | 0 | n/a |
| 30 to 39 hours | 0 | n/a |
| 40 hours or more | 0 | n/a |
Sample. 0 of the 0 roles read state weekly hours (n/a).
The lower figure of a stated range counts ('32 to 40 hours a week' is 32): it is the commitment a role asks for at least.

Figure 6
Checks and selection steps
What checks and tests stand between an applicant and the job?
| Step | Roles | Share of roles read |
|---|---|---|
| A background check or screening (required) | 0 | n/a |
| A drug test or screening | 0 | n/a |
| A driving record (MVR) check | 0 | n/a |
| A road test or driving assessment | 0 | n/a |
| An assessment, test or trial task | 0 | n/a |
| An interview | 0 | n/a |
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 whose job board publishes a full description (0 employers and programs), 0.0% of all open roles.
A background check counts when the description requires one (job-requirements reader); the other steps count wherever the description mentions them.

Figure 7
Working conditions mentioned
What is the work like: shifts, outdoors, on your feet, repetitive?
| Condition | Roles mentioning it | Share of roles read |
|---|---|---|
| Outdoor work or weather conditions | 0 | n/a |
| Protective equipment (PPE, safety boots) | 0 | n/a |
| Repetitive tasks or motions | 0 | n/a |
| Night, weekend or rotating shifts | 0 | n/a |
| Standing or walking for long periods | 0 | n/a |
| Travel | 0 | n/a |
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 whose job board publishes a full description (0 employers and programs), 0.0% of all open roles.
A mention can describe the job or a schedule option; it counts wherever the description says it.

Figure 8
Terms of work mentioned
Are robot training roles full-time jobs with benefits, part-time, contract or at home?
| Term | Roles mentioning it | Share of roles read |
|---|---|---|
| Full-time | 0 | n/a |
| Part-time | 0 | n/a |
| Employee benefits or W-2 | 0 | n/a |
| Contractor or freelance terms | 0 | n/a |
| Remote or at-home work | 0 | n/a |
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 whose job board publishes a full description (0 employers and programs), 0.0% of all open roles.
'Remote' counts any mention of remote or at-home work, including remote operation of a robot; the on-site work report reads where each role is done from its location and workplace fields.

Figure 9
Tools and technical skills named
Which tools and skills do robot training roles name?
No data in this window.
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 whose job board publishes a full description (0 employers and programs), 0.0% of all open roles.
Gaming counts because teleoperation postings often ask for experience with game controllers or video games; a tool can be named as a requirement or a plus.

Figure 10
Requirements by employer
How do employers differ in what they require?
No data in this window.
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 whose job board publishes a full description (0 employers and programs), 0.0% of all open roles.
Rows under 5 roles read are marked as a small sample. Many employers post one description per city, so a large employer's template weighs on the shares of all roles read.

Method and definitions
The public job boards of the robot training employers and programs this site tracks, read every day. Full descriptions are read for the roles whose feed publishes them. Every figure is computed by one database query over the window shown, the same query for the live report and for every edition. Each figure states its sample beneath it.
- Required
- Education, licences, a minimum age, a lifting limit, years of experience, a background check and training provided are read with lib/job-requirements.ts, the reader behind this site's job pages: clause by clause, ignoring anything named as a preference ('a CDL is a plus') or listed under a preferred-qualifications heading.
- Mention
- Weekly hours, drug tests, driving-record checks, road tests, assessments, interviews, working conditions, terms and tools count when the description contains one of the documented patterns for them (whole words, case-insensitive), wherever it says it.
- Highest education
- Each role counts once, at the highest education it requires: a degree with no alternative, a degree or equivalent experience, a high school diploma, current enrolment, or none.
- Years and hours
- The most years of work experience any requirement names (licensed driving years are counted apart), and the lower figure of a stated weekly range ('32 to 40 hours a week' is 32).
- Coverage
- Only roles whose job board publishes a full description are read; each figure states how many that is.
- Open role
- A role listed by a given day and still in its employer's feed that day.
- Kind of work
- Each role is classified from its title and description into one of the seven kinds of robot training work this site tracks, from robot teleoperation and demonstration collection to egocentric capture, embodied-AI annotation, robot evaluation, fleet operations and AV and drone operation. Every kind links to its own page.
- Window
- Live: the last 28 complete days, in UTC. Edition: one calendar month, in UTC.
What this data cannot tell you
- Employers that recruit without a public job board are not counted, and some data-collection programs enrol people through an app rather than a job listing.
- A listing is not a hire. Some employers keep evergreen roles open for months, and some post one listing per city or country.
- Many employers post one description per city, so a large employer's template weighs on every share read from descriptions.
- A pattern can miss a requirement phrased in an unusual way; nothing is inferred beyond what the text says, and an unstated requirement is unknown, not absent.
How the job feeds are read and roles are classified: site methodology. How fresh, complete and consistent the data is, checked every day: data quality and coverage.
Editions
The live report covers the last 28 complete days and changes every day. Each complete month is also published as an edition, frozen two days after the month ends, so a figure you cite from an edition never moves.
