For robotics companies
Robot training data, produced by our own people.
Teleoperation and demonstration sessions, filmed everyday tasks, first-person capture and labeled robot video, done by robot trainers from our own network. We plan the project, staff it, check every batch and deliver the data, end to end.
Only need the people, to contract them yourself? We find the people: we find and assess the teleoperators, data collectors, test drivers or drone pilots your work needs and introduce the ones who said yes. You contract them yourself.
What we deliver
The data your robots learn from and are tested on
Robot evaluation
People run your robot, policy or vehicle through set tasks and score each attempt against a written standard, before release and while it runs.
Task specifications and success criteria
People write down, step by step, what a finished task must look like, so a robot's attempt can be scored the same way every time.
Annotation and comparison
People label robot video (actions, objects, success or failure) and compare attempts, saying which is better and why.
Demonstration data
People teleoperate robots or film themselves doing everyday tasks, producing the demonstrations a robot policy is trained on.
Tasks for simulation
People turn real tasks into ones a robot attempts in simulation, with a reference run and a check for success.
Edge cases and failure testing
People try to make a robot, vehicle or drone fail in the ways that matter, and record how.
Benchmarks
People design and review the hard tasks a robotics benchmark is made of.
Our network
The people behind the work
Everyone with a profile in our network, grouped by main field, with the number based in the United States. 0 of them have also completed a spoken assessment.
What the work costs
What this work pays in the US today
We read the posted pay of every open robot training job every hour, so a quote starts from what that kind of work pays now, not a guess. A project's price per hour is the worker's rate plus our fee for running it, quoted per project, and the quote shows both.
No market rate has enough posted jobs behind it to show yet; each quote states the rate it uses.
Who it is for
Teams building robots, vehicles and drones
Humanoid robot makers
Humanoid makers train their robots on teleoperation and demonstration data and hire operators and data collectors in shifts, often more than they can staff.
Robot model labs and robot makers
Labs training robot foundation models and makers of industrial and field robots need demonstrations, labels and evaluations at volume, at their own sites or in people's homes.
Self-driving vehicle and truck companies
They need test drivers and safety operators city by city, and people to label and review what their vehicles record.
Drone and aircraft companies
Flight testing and delivery programs need certified pilots and people to review and label flight data.
Robot fleets on customer sites
Companies running robots in warehouses, stores, hospitals and farms need people to supervise, test and record them on site.
Data vendors and capture networks
Vendors and capture programs take outside people when a project needs a city, a skill or a volume they cannot staff.
How it works
From your brief to delivered data
Tell us the data you need
The robot or the task, the kind of data (teleoperation, filmed demonstrations, first-person capture, labels), how much, where and by when. A short chat or an email will do.
We plan it with our own people
Who we would put on it and how we assessed them, how each recording or label is checked, and a first batch with the acceptance standard in writing.
A paid pilot
One kind of task, one site or one set of recordings, with as many people as the work needs, done and checked against the agreed standard, so you judge real data before committing to more.
Work runs, gets checked, gets delivered
With your robots and tools or with ours, reviewed before it reaches you, delivered and invoiced on your schedule, with one contact for the whole project.
For you
What we commit to
- People chosen for the work from a network we already know: their profile, their licences or certificates checked against public records where they exist, their assessments and their availability.
- A paid pilot first: one kind of task, one site or one set of recordings, with as many people as the work needs, and what counts as accepted written down before it starts.
- Workers paid for every hour of the work, onboarding and calibration included, so the best stay.
- A client's data, footage and instructions are used for that client's project only.
- Everyone on a project has accepted written confidentiality and assigns their work product to the client.
- Health data that identifies a person is handled only under a signed business associate agreement.
- The pilot is paid, with what counts as accepted agreed before it starts.
For the workers
Our commitments to the people doing it
- Every hour the project asks of a worker is paid: onboarding, training, calibration and trial work included.
- Workers choose their own hours inside the project's delivery window; no screenshots, screen recording or activity tracking.
- The pay, the expected hours and the terms are written down before anyone accepts, and never lowered during the project.
- Work judged not accepted is explained in writing, and the worker can answer it and have it looked at again by a different reviewer.
- Pay goes out on a fixed schedule written in the project terms.
Everyone who joins our project bench accepts terms anyone can read: the Expert Terms.
Questions
What teams ask us
Is this a recruiting agency or a staffing firm?
No. We deliver the data: we plan the project, staff it from our own network, check what the people on it produce and hand it over. You deal with one company for the whole project, not with each worker.
Where do the people come from?
From RobotTraining.jobs, the job board people use to find paid robot training work. 31 people have a profile with us, 2 of them US professionals (in the US and licensed, doctorate-holding or found on a public registry). We read each profile, check licences and certificates against public records where one exists, assess people in a spoken interview, and know who is available now. When a project needs a city or a skill we are short of, we recruit for it.
How is the quality of the data checked?
We agree a written standard with you before the first batch. A reviewer holds every recording or label up to it, labeling batches include test items whose right answers we already know, and whatever falls short is redone before you receive it. You get the checks along with the data.
How is it priced?
Per hour of work: the worker's rate for that kind of work plus our fee for running the project, quoted for each project. We set the worker's rate from the market, because we read the posted pay of every open robot training job every hour, so you pay what that work costs today, not a guess. The quote shows the worker's rate and our fee separately, and a paid pilot (one kind of task, one site or one set of recordings, with as many people as the work needs) is priced below our usual fee.
How do you handle our data and confidentiality?
Your data, your footage and your instructions serve your project and nothing else. Each person on the project signs a written confidentiality agreement and assigns their work to you, and health data that identifies anyone is handled only under a signed business associate agreement.
Can the work run on our own robots and tools?
Yes. Teleoperation runs on your robots and rigs, and labeling or evaluation in your own tool where you have one; where you have none, we provide one.
Why would people choose to work through you?
Every hour a project needs from them is paid, onboarding and calibration too; nobody tracks their screens; pay and terms are in writing before they say yes; and they can respond to any review of their work. Good robot trainers can choose where they work, and this is how they choose us.
Tell us the data you need
A short chat. We reply with the people we would put on it, how we would check the data and a plan for the first batch. Or have us find people for you to contract yourself.
We find the people
We find and assess the teleoperators, data collectors, test drivers or drone pilots your work needs and introduce the ones who said yes. You contract them yourself.
A fee per person you accept.
We run the project
We staff, run, check and deliver the robot data you need (filmed tasks, teleoperation sessions, labeled robot video), with people from our own network.
Priced per project.
