Beep designs, deploys and operates shared self-driving shuttle services, and runs autonomous shuttles in Atlanta in partnership with Atlanta BeltLine Inc. Its shuttle attendants (autonomous vehicle operators) ride on board: they watch the vehicle's systems and its autonomous driving, follow procedures to bring the vehicle to a safe state when something unusual happens, keep in touch with Beep's command center, report how the system performs to the engineering teams, inspect the vehicle before and after each trip, and explain the technology to riders.
