Key findings
- 1
On the 38 employers tracked throughout, open roles went down 0.8%, from about 645 in the week of 14 Sep 2026 to 640 in the week of 28 Sep 2026.
- 2
The median advertised rate of open roles moved from $29/hr to $28/hr between the first and the last week.
- 3
Apply clicks per open role went from 0.04 a week in the week of 14 Sep 2026 to 0.1 in the week of 28 Sep 2026, as the roles listed and the site's audience changed.

The index at a glance
How did the market change between the first and the last week?
| Measure | Week of 14 Sep 2026 | Week of 28 Sep 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open roles (fixed panel) | 645 | 640 | -0.8% |
| Open roles (all tracked employers) | 645 | 694 | +7.7% |
| New listings in the week | 9 | 30 | +233.3% |
| Removed in the week | 14 | 31 | +121.4% |
| Median advertised rate | $29/hr | $28/hr | -3.4% |
| Apply clicks per open role | 0.04 | 0.1 | +163.8% |
Sample. The first and the last complete week of 14 Sep 2026 to 4 Oct 2026.
Open roles are the average over the week's days; the rate and the share of roles stating pay are read at the start of each week.

Figure 2
Open roles, week by week
Is the number of open robot training roles rising or falling?
| Week | Open roles (fixed panel) | Index |
|---|---|---|
| 14 to 20 Sep | 645 | 100.0 |
| 21 to 27 Sep | 631 | 97.9 |
| 28 Sep to 4 Oct | 640 | 99.2 |
Sample. Average open roles over each week's days, on the 38 employers tracked since 14 Sep 2026 (the fixed panel), 14 Sep 2026 to 4 Oct 2026.
The index is the panel's open roles against the week of 14 Sep 2026 (100). Employers first tracked later appear only in the last column, so their arrival never reads as hiring growth.

New and removed listings, week by week
How many robot training roles are listed and taken down each week?
| Week | New listings | Removed |
|---|---|---|
| 14 to 20 Sep | 9 | 14 |
| 21 to 27 Sep | 21 | 32 |
| 28 Sep to 4 Oct | 30 | 31 |
Sample. Listings on the employers' job boards, 14 Sep 2026 to 4 Oct 2026, by ISO week (Monday to Sunday, UTC).
Each employer's first week in this dataset (its back catalogue) is not counted as new listings.

Figure 4
The advertised median rate, week by week
Are advertised rates for robot training work moving?
| Week | Median advertised rate | Roles stating a rate |
|---|---|---|
| 14 to 20 Sep | $29 | 12.1% |
| 21 to 27 Sep | $30 | 12.5% |
| 28 Sep to 4 Oct | $28 | 13.5% |
Sample. Roles open at the start of each week that state an hourly rate, 14 Sep 2026 to 4 Oct 2026.
The median follows the mix of open roles as well as rates themselves.

Figure 5
Applicant interest per open role, week by week
Is competition for each opening rising or falling?
| Week | Clicks per open role |
|---|---|
| 14 to 20 Sep | 0.04 |
| 21 to 27 Sep | 0.04 |
| 28 Sep to 4 Oct | 0.10 |
Sample. Apply clicks on a specific role on RobotTraining.jobs, 14 Sep 2026 to 4 Oct 2026, against the roles open that week.
It rises with RobotTraining.jobs's own audience as well as with interest in the work: read it beside the other weeks, not as a market total.

Method and definitions
The public job boards of the robot training employers and programs this site tracks, read every day. Apply clicks are made on RobotTraining.jobs. Every figure is computed by one database query over the window shown, the same query for the live report and for every edition. Each figure states its sample beneath it.
- Fixed panel
- The employers already tracked when the window opens. The index follows their open roles, so an employer added later never reads as market growth.
- Index
- The panel's average open roles in a week, divided by the same in the base week, times 100.
- Open role
- A role listed by a given day and still in its employer's feed that day.
- New listing
- A role that first appeared during the window at an employer already tracked before that week. An employer's first week in this dataset is its back catalogue and is not counted as new.
- Removed listing
- A role that left its employer's feed during the window.
- Advertised pay
- The hourly figure a posting states (the middle of a stated range). Medians need at least 8 roles stating a rate; the middle half runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile.
- Clicks per open role a week
- Apply clicks on RobotTraining.jobs divided by the days the roles were open, times 7.
- Window
- Live: the last twelve complete ISO weeks (Monday to Sunday, UTC), from the week of 14 Sep 2026 at the earliest. Edition: the weeks of one calendar month.
What this data cannot tell you
- Employers that recruit without a public job board are not counted, and some data-collection programs enrol people through an app rather than a job listing.
- A listing is not a hire. Some employers keep evergreen roles open for months, and some post one listing per city or country.
- Apply clicks measure interest among the people who use RobotTraining.jobs, and what is shown first gets clicked more.
- This dataset's job boards were first read on 12 Sep 2026, so the index does not reach back further than the week of 14 Sep 2026.
How the job feeds are read and roles are classified: site methodology. How fresh, complete and consistent the data is, checked every day: data quality and coverage.
Editions
The live index covers the last twelve complete weeks (from 3 Aug 2026 at the earliest) and moves on every Monday. Each complete month is also published as an edition, frozen two days after the month ends, so a figure you cite from an edition never moves.
