What the data shows
- 1
Every one of the 100 job boards had its most recent read between 1 Nov 2026, 06:00 UTC and 1 Nov 2026, 06:02 UTC.
- 2
Counted along two independent routes, 6 of 7 quantities come out identical; the remaining ones are off by 3 (0.3%), as explained beneath the figure.
- 3
Among roles live on 31 Oct 2026: 30% name an hourly rate, 100% say where applicants may be based, 100% come with a full description, and for 67% the application form was read.
- 4
Before counting, 24 of 628 logged apply clicks were dropped as bot traffic or clicks from other sites, along with 1,503 of 10,711 page views. Of the clicks that remained, 77.8% landed on one specific role.
- 5
11 of 11 employers advertise a median posting rate that sits within the range drawn from their own published pages.
Figure 1
Two separate counts of each number
When a quantity is counted twice, separately, do the totals line up?
| Quantity | From the role facts | From the second route | Agreement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roles still open when 31 Oct 2026 closed | 1,150 | 1,150 | Match |
| Roles already open as 1 Oct 2026 began | 706 | 706 | Match |
| Newly posted in this period | 175 | 175 | Match |
| Removed listings in the window | 202 | 202 | Match |
| Role-days spent open during the window | 28,825 | 28,825 | Match |
| Apply clicks on roles that were live in the window | 470 | 470 | Match |
| Snapshot count from 31 Oct 2026 versus that moment reconstructed from each role's history | 1,150 | 1,153 | Differs by 3 (0.3%) |
Base: All roles live at any point between 1 Oct 2026 and 31 Oct 2026.
Route one tallies, inside the app, the role facts that feed the employer, kind-of-work, pay, title, timing and geography reports. Route two is a separately written set of database queries that feeds the hiring and applicant reports; for the bottom line it is the snapshot taken that morning.
Small gaps in apply clicks are expected, because route two also picks up clicks on a role that had already dropped out of its feed (someone acting on a page they opened before).
The snapshot row drifts if a role was later folded into a duplicate or moved to another category after that day's snapshot.

Base: 1,150 openings live as 31 Oct 2026 closed; each percentage is out of that employer's own open roles.
Hourly rate counts when the posting names a figure. Posting date counts when the board supplies one. Location rule comes either from the posting itself or from the employer's own statement of where it hires. Full description and application form count when the employer's applicant-tracking system publishes them and they were read for that role.
None of the rows with open roles carries a small-sample mark: they vary so widely that each one stands on its own from the first.

Cleaning the click and visit logs
What share of bot and off-site traffic gets dropped before anything is counted?
| Record | Events | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Counted: apply clicks from real visitors here | 604 | 96.2% |
| Dropped: apply clicks flagged as bots | 24 | 3.8% |
| Dropped: apply clicks from other sites on the shared log | 0 | 0.0% |
| Counted clicks tied to one particular role | 470 | 77.8% |
| Counted: page views from real visitors | 9,208 | 86.0% |
| Dropped: page views flagged as bots | 1,503 | 14.0% |
Base: Events recorded from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026.
Bot traffic is flagged the moment an event is logged and never makes it into a count. That covers crawlers that announce themselves, headless browsers and clients that send no user agent.

| Snapshots taken during this 31-day window | 31 |
Base: Entire dataset, as it stood on 31 Oct 2026.
Nothing is deleted when a role closes, which means any earlier day can be reconstructed. The daily snapshots, by contrast, freeze each day exactly as it was measured at the time.

Buy the data behind this report
This report sums up records we gather ourselves, day after day:
1,432 robot training roles followed, history included
Every role on 100 employer job boards, read each day since 12 Sep 2026: its pay, its place, and the first and last day it was up.
536 apply clicks over 28 days
Which robot training roles people really apply to, by kind of work, pay and place. The clicks happen here, so no one else can count them.
25 sourced industry datasets
Funding, revenue, deals, fleets, deployments and prices across the robot training industry, each record linked to the publication it comes from.
On offer
The raw records
Every robot training role we track: title, employer, place, kind of work, pay as stated, and the days it was first and last open.
A regular feed
New and closed roles every week or month, as file drops or through the data endpoints.
A custom cut
Any figure here by country, city, kind of work, vehicle, employer or date, or your own hiring benchmarked against the market.
Need the people behind this data for your own robots? (you contract them yourself) or (we deliver the robot data).
Investing in robotics, AV or robot-data companies? The Robot hiring radar is these records role by role, every day, as files.
Robot hiring brief: free, once a month
The robot-training job market in figures, on the first weekday of each month: open roles, what opened and closed, who added and who cut, and posted pay by kind of work. To your work email.
How it was measured
This site's job-board feeds, click and visit logs, daily snapshots and employer pages. A single database query produces each figure for the window shown, and the live page and every monthly edition run that identical query. The note under each figure gives its base.
- Independent routes
- Three separate counts: the role facts tallied in the app, the database queries that power the hiring and applicant reports, and the daily snapshots saved at the time.
- Published range
- The pay range gathered from an employer's own pages and displayed, with sources, on that employer's page here.
- Open role
- On a given day, a role that has been posted and still shows in the employer's feed.
- Window
- Live page: the 28 most recent full days (UTC). Edition: a single calendar month (UTC).
Limits of this data
- A cross-check covers only what both routes measure. If both share a definition, their agreement says nothing about whether that definition is right.
Collection and classification of listings are explained on the methodology page. Freshness, completeness and consistency are tested daily in the data quality report.
Monthly editions
The live page spans the 28 most recent full days and updates daily. Every finished month also gets its own edition, locked two days after month end, so a number quoted from it stays fixed.
- Live page28 most recent full days, rebuilt daily
- October 2026 edition (you are here)Will lock when the next daily refresh runs
