What the data shows
- 4
Of the 1 employer with a like-work comparison, none lifted the pay on its new listings by 10% or more, and not one increased it.
- 6
Since 14 Sep 2026, Wayve began listing Robot Fleet Operations roles (4 new listings since 23 Sep 2026, 2 still open) and Saronic stopped listing Robot Teleoperation roles (3 open roles when the period began, none by its end).

Base: 1,139 robot training roles still listed when 25 Oct 2026 closed, across the 91 employers that had open roles at either end of 28 Sep 2026 to 25 Oct 2026, as their public job boards show them; 57 of those employers were already tracked before the window began.
Open at start counts the roles listed at 00:00 UTC on 28 Sep 2026, Open at end those still listed when 25 Oct 2026 closed, and Change sets one against the other for the same employer. When an employer re-posts a listing with a fresh identifier (see Re-key batch), the old copy disappears and the new one shows up in the same read: neither count moves, and the pair stays out of New listings and Removed. Change as read is the unadjusted comparison.
Status names the size of the like-for-like change: Growing from +10% up, Shrinking from -10% down, Steady in between. An employer with under 10.7 open roles when the window opened (below that weight, fitted on every tracked employer's own counts, the employers' shared average change says more than the employer's own) is marked Too few roles. An employer this site started reading inside the window shows the date of that first read instead and is kept out of the top row, so being added never looks like hiring.
Re-key batch: a day when 3 or more of one employer's listings vanished and reappeared with identical titles in a single read, the board having given them new identifiers (checked in this window and in every calendar month since 14 Sep 2026). Those pairs are reported in this column instead of New listings, Removed and Net flow. Each pair is one departure and one arrival, so the opening count does not have to be restated.
An employer's first week in this dataset is its back catalogue and never counts as New listings. Net flow subtracts removals from new listings; where that first week overlaps the window's opening days, it can drift slightly from the change in open roles.
Stating a rate and Median rate describe the roles still open at the end (in the top row, those of every employer with open roles). No median is given unless 3 or more of them state an hourly rate.

Employers grouped by status
How many robot training employers fall under each status, and how many open roles sit in each group?
| Status | Employers | Open at end | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growing | 45 | +95.7% | |

Base: All 91 employers in the panel above, 28 Sep 2026 to 25 Oct 2026.
Each status and change comes from the panel table. Growing and Shrinking mean the like-for-like count moved by 10% or more, up or down; Too few roles means under 10.7 open roles when the window opened (below that weight, fitted on every tracked employer's own counts, the employers' shared average change says more than the employer's own).

Base: For 93 employers, the mean number of roles open at 00:00 UTC across the days of each ISO week (Monday through Sunday), 14 Sep 2026 to 25 Oct 2026.
Each column is one week, named after its Monday. In the week an employer was first read, only the days from that read onward count; earlier weeks show n/a, and in place of a change the row gives the date of that first read.
"All employers, as read" grows as employers join this dataset, so no change is worked out for it; "Employers read since the opening week" keeps one fixed set, which means a newly added employer cannot show up as growth.
All rows carry a small-sample mark and none is ranked: they vary no more than chance would make them vary, so no single row stands on its own.

Figure 4
Rate-change log: the hourly pay employers put on new listings
When an employer posts fresh robot training roles, does the hourly pay it offers go up, down or stay put?
| Employer | Sep 2026 (from 14 Sep) | Oct 2026 (to 25 Oct) | Same work | Direction |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All employers | $27 | $29 | -4.7% | Not comparable |
| Aurora Innovation | $35 | $33 | -4.7% | Held |
| micro1 | $15 | $10 | n/a | Not comparable |
| Amazon Prime Air | n/a | $27 | n/a | n/a |
| Zipline | n/a | $38 | n/a | n/a |
| Collaborative Robotics | $23 | n/a | n/a | n/a |
Base: 45 new listings with a stated hourly rate, 14 Sep 2026 to 25 Oct 2026, grouped by the calendar month each first appeared. An employer's monthly median needs 3 or more of them and reads n/a below that.
Only new listings are read, the pay an employer offers at the moment it posts, so a rate fixed months ago on a role still listed leaves this log unchanged. Each employer's back catalogue (its first week in this dataset) and its re-keyed listings are excluded.
Median, first to last: how far the employer's median moved from its earliest month with a median to its latest. Shifts in which work gets posted move it as much as rate changes do.
Same work: every kind of work with 3 or more priced new listings in both of those months contributes the change in its own median, weighted by its listings in the later month. Direction turns that into a word: Raised from +10% up, Cut from -10% down, Held in between, and Not comparable when no kind of work qualifies or the kinds compared cover under 50% of the later month's priced listings (Compared), because most of what was posted then has no earlier match. In the All employers row, same work means the same kind of work at the same employer, so a change in who happened to post cannot move it.
Rows whose latest month with a median rests on under 3 listings carry the small-sample mark.

Figure 5
Kinds of work employers took up or dropped
Which robot training employers started hiring for a kind of work they had no open roles in, and which stopped listing any role in one?
Base: All employers with roles open on the first or the last day of 14 Sep 2026 to 25 Oct 2026, split by the kinds of work their open roles and new listings fall under.
Entered: the employer had no open role in that kind of work when the period began (for an employer first read during it, nothing in the back catalogue of its first week), then posted one or more new listings in it. Left: it had open roles in the kind when the period began and none when it ended.
The counts stay visible so that a shift of one or two roles is not read as a change of direction; the findings only rank an entry backed by 3 or more new listings and an exit of 3 or more open roles.
Each role carries the kind of work this site assigns it now, so reclassifying a role can shift it from one kind to another. Re-keyed listings never count as an entry.

Figure 6
Re-key batches set aside
Which days saw an employer re-post listings under fresh identifiers, and how many at a time?
Nothing to show for this window.
Base: Each day in 14 Sep 2026 to 25 Oct 2026 on which one employer re-posted 3 or more listings, found either in this report's window or in one of the span's calendar months.
A same-title pair is a listing that drops out of an employer's feed and comes back with the same title in one read (one UTC day), each departure matched with one arrival. The board has handed an existing listing a new identifier; no role was filled and none was opened, so the pair is shown here instead of being counted as turnover. A day enters this table from 3 pairs upward, the smallest set any claim about a group of listings rests on.
Out at that read and In at that read count all departures and arrivals of the day. Only the matched pairs are taken out of the flow: listings that went for good, and arrivals under titles not seen leaving, still count.
The two share columns set the re-posted listings against the employer's removals and new listings in the period read (last column).

Buy the data behind this report
This report sums up records we gather ourselves, day after day:
1,317 robot training roles followed, history included
Every role on 85 employer job boards, read each day since 12 Sep 2026: its pay, its place, and the first and last day it was up.
451 apply clicks over 28 days
Which robot training roles people really apply to, by kind of work, pay and place. The clicks happen here, so no one else can count them.
19 sourced industry datasets
Funding, revenue, deals, fleets, deployments and prices across the robot training industry, each record linked to the publication it comes from.
On offer
The raw records
Every robot training role we track: title, employer, place, kind of work, pay as stated, and the days it was first and last open.
A regular feed
New and closed roles every week or month, as file drops or through the data endpoints.
A custom cut
Any figure here by country, city, kind of work, vehicle, employer or date, or your own hiring benchmarked against the market.

How it was measured
Every day this site reads the public job boards of the robot training employers and programs it follows. Listings only: apply clicks on RobotTraining.jobs are never published by employer. A single database query produces each figure for the window shown, and the live page and every monthly edition run that identical query. The note under each figure gives its base.
- Coverage
- Which employers and programs RobotTraining.jobs reads in full, board by board, each day. Every figure notes how many boards went into it.
- Open role
- On a given day, a role that has been posted and still shows in the employer's feed.
- New listing
- A role seen for the first time during the window, at an employer this site was already following the week before. Whatever an employer has up in its first tracked week is back catalogue and does not count as new.
- Removed listing
- A role that dropped out of its employer's feed within the window.
- Net change
- Roles added minus roles taken down, leaving out re-key batches on both sides.
- Like-for-like change
- An employer's open roles at the window's end set against its open roles at the start, for employers already followed before the window began. One first read during the window is flagged and never counted as growth. The start is adjusted by the net of any re-key batch inside the window.
- Status
- Growing means a like-for-like change of +10% or more, Shrinking -10% or less, and Steady anything between. Too few roles: the employer's open roles at the start fall short of the weight of the followed employers' average change, fitted on their own counts, so its change cannot stand on its own and no direction is given. First read in window: the employer joined this dataset during the window.
- Re-key batch
- A listing that drops out of an employer's feed and comes back under the same title in the same daily read, matched one for one: the board has given the same listing a new identifier, not filled one role and opened another. Each such pair is kept out of roles added, roles taken down and the net change, and a day with 3 or more of them is listed as a re-key batch, within the window or a calendar month of the last 26 weeks (none before 14 Sep 2026), with the counts that left and arrived in that read.
- Advertised pay
- The hourly rate a listing gives, using the midpoint of any range. An employer's median for its open roles needs 3 or more roles with a stated rate.
- Rate log
- The median posted hourly rate of an employer's new listings in each calendar month, shown once 3 or more new listings give a rate. Back-catalogue roles and re-issued listings are left out.
- Same-work change
- For every kind of work with 3 or more priced new listings in both the first and the latest month that have a median, the change in that median, averaged with the later month's listings as weights. Raised means +10% or more, Cut -10% or less, Held anything between; Not comparable when no kind qualifies or the kinds compared hold under half of the later month's priced listings. For the market as a whole, the same work means the same kind of work at the same employer.
- Moved into or out of a kind of work
- Moved into: no open role in that kind at the start of the period (for an employer first read during it, none in its back catalogue) and at least one new listing in it during the period. Moved out of: open roles in that kind at the start and none at the end.
- Kind of work
- A role's title and description place it in one of the seven kinds of robot training work this site follows, ranging from robot teleoperation and demonstration collection through egocentric capture, embodied-AI annotation, robot evaluation and fleet operations to AV and drone operation. Each kind has a page of its own.
- Window
- Live page: the 28 most recent full days (UTC), with the weekly, monthly and kind-of-work figures read over the 26 weeks to the same end, none before 14 Sep 2026. Edition: a single calendar month, with those figures read over the 26 weeks to month end.
Limits of this data
- Hiring that happens off public job boards is invisible here, and some data-collection programs sign people up inside an app instead of posting a job.
- A posting does not equal a hire. Certain employers leave evergreen roles up for months, and others post the same role once per city or country.
- Start and end are counts on two single days, so an employer that opens and closes roles in big batches can change status from one window to the next.
- A re-key batch is spotted by its pattern, not its cause: an employer that really closed most of its roles and opened as many new ones the same day would be set aside too, so every batch is listed with its counts.
- These are posted rates, not take-home pay. A month's median of a handful of listings moves with a few postings, and the same-work comparison only covers kinds of work an employer posted often enough in both months.
- A role's kind of work is how it is classified today, so a change in this site's classification can shift roles between kinds.
Collection and classification of listings are explained on the methodology page. Freshness, completeness and consistency are tested daily in the data quality report.
Monthly editions
The live page spans the 28 most recent full days and updates daily. Every finished month also gets its own edition, locked two days after month end, so a number quoted from it stays fixed.
