What the data shows

  1. 1

Tuesday and Friday lead the week for new postings, holding 58.7% of them between the two (two days of an evenly spread week would hold 28.6%); 94.4% are dated Monday to Friday.

    Figure 1
  2. 2

Saturday and Sunday (UTC) account for 5.6% of new postings, compared with 28.6% for a perfectly even week; the same two days bring 30.5% of apply clicks.

    Figure 1
  3. 3

Among postings with a time attached, the 14:00 UTC hour is the peak (23.2% of them); the 12:00 to 16:00 UTC block holds 45.1%.

    Figure 2
  4. 4

The 21:00 UTC hour draws the most apply clicks (9.1% of them), 7 hours after the peak hour for postings.

    Figure 6
  5. 5

People apply most on Friday (19.2% of apply clicks in an average week), but new postings peak on Tuesday (40.6%).

    Figure 5
  6. 6

Wednesday 12:00 to 16:00 UTC is the peak four-hour block for applying, with 5.2% of weekly apply clicks; an evenly spread week would give each block 2.4%.

  7. 7

This site picked up half of the timed postings from the employer's public feed within 14.7 hours of posting, and 95.1% within 24 hours; Serve Robotics is slowest, at a median of 270.7 hours.

    Figure 4
  8. 8

Avride has the highest weekend share: 65.8% of its dated postings; 25 of the 26 employers large enough to stand alone have none dated on a weekend.

Base: 95 new listings dated from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 by the board that posted them, across 26 employers, out of 175 new listings overall.

Each posting is placed on the date its job board shows, in UTC. Shares divide a weekday's postings by how many of that weekday the window holds, so a month that holds five of one weekday does not skew the result.

Boards that give a date without a time (90% or more of an employer's stamps fall at exactly 00:00:00 UTC): Amazon Prime Air, Symbotic and Keywords Studios. Their postings join the weekday counts but not the hour counts.

No board is echoing this site's own read time: for every employer, under half the stamps land within 10 minutes of the first sighting.

Not counted: Tesla and micro1, since those boards carry no posting date (42 new listings).

An employer's first week of tracking picks up its existing back catalogue, so those roles do not count as new.

Base: 82 new listings from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 carrying both a posting date and a time from their board, across 23 employers.

Hours come from the board's own posting time, shown in UTC.

TSMG supplies 42.7% of these postings, so its routine drives much of the curve. The employer table lists the peak hour for each employer.

Many roles go up in bulk. 30.5% of these postings share a 10-minute slot with 4 or more others from the same employer, so a handful of bulk drops can make a single hour spike.

Boards that give a date without a time (90% or more of an employer's stamps fall at exactly 00:00:00 UTC): Amazon Prime Air, Symbotic and Keywords Studios. Their postings join the weekday counts but not the hour counts.

Base: 175 new listings from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026, grouped by posting employer. Only listings are counted here.

Dated postings are new listings with a usable posting date inside the window from their board. Weekend covers Saturday and Sunday (UTC), as part of that employer's average week; if postings were spread evenly it would be 28.6%.

Boards that show a date but no time get n/a for busiest hour.

None of the rows with dated postings carries a small-sample mark: they vary so widely that each one stands on its own from the first.

Base: 82 new listings from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 with a board-given posting date and time that falls inside the window.

The lag counts hours from the board's posting time until this site first picked up the role in the employer's public feed. This site checks feeds roughly once a day (88.6% of new listings first turned up in the 06:00 UTC hour), so as much as a day of any lag is just waiting for the next check. A lag of several days means the role hit the public feed well after the date on its board.

Date-only boards are excluded, because their lag would be measured from midnight on the given day.

Only postings with a date inside the window are timed, which caps any lag at the window's length.

An employer with under 3 timed postings carries a small-sample flag, since a median needs at least that many values before its range is more likely than not to hold the true middle.

Only apply clicks by people on RobotTraining.jobs count, both on single roles and on an employer's general sign-up link. They are tallied for the whole site, never per employer.

The timing reflects where RobotTraining.jobs visitors are based and when they browse. All days and hours are UTC (09:00 UTC falls in the early morning across the Americas and the evening in East Asia), so a peak tells you when this audience is up, not when the wider market applies.

For comparison, the final column shows each day's share of new postings, taken from the posting chart.

A weekday that the window holds on fewer than 1.5 days carries a small-sample flag. Below that, the average across all weekdays says more about it than its own clicks do (a weight fitted from the clicks themselves).

Buy the data behind this report

This report sums up records we gather ourselves, day after day:

  • 1,432 robot training roles followed, history included

Every role on 100 employer job boards, read each day since 12 Sep 2026: its pay, its place, and the first and last day it was up.

  • 536 apply clicks over 28 days

Which robot training roles people really apply to, by kind of work, pay and place. The clicks happen here, so no one else can count them.

  • 25 sourced industry datasets

Funding, revenue, deals, fleets, deployments and prices across the robot training industry, each record linked to the publication it comes from.

On offer

  • The raw records

Every robot training role we track: title, employer, place, kind of work, pay as stated, and the days it was first and last open.

  • A regular feed

New and closed roles every week or month, as file drops or through the data endpoints.

  • A custom cut

Any figure here by country, city, kind of work, vehicle, employer or date, or your own hiring benchmarked against the market.

Need the people behind this data for your own robots? (you contract them yourself) or (we deliver the robot data).

Robot hiring brief: free, once a month

The robot-training job market in figures, on the first weekday of each month: open roles, what opened and closed, who added and who cut, and posted pay by kind of work. To your work email.

How it was measured

The posting date and time shown for each new listing on robot training employers' public job boards (read daily), plus apply clicks on RobotTraining.jobs, tallied only by weekday and hour. A single database query produces each figure for the window shown, and the live page and every monthly edition run that identical query. The note under each figure gives its base.

Posting time
The timestamp a job board attaches to a new listing, converted to UTC. Listings dated outside the window are ignored.
New listing
A role seen for the first time during the window, at an employer this site was already following the week before. Whatever an employer has up in its first tracked week is back catalogue and does not count as new.
Posting stamp
What a board actually puts in its posting field, judged from its own new listings: a full date and time; a bare date (90% or more fall at exactly midnight UTC, so it counts toward weekdays but not hours); this site's own read time (half or more within 10 minutes of first sighting, excluded); a time after this site first saw the role (a quarter or more over an hour later, meaning an edit time, excluded); or no date at all (excluded).
Share of an average week
Postings per occurrence of a weekday in the window, divided by that rate added up across all seven days. This keeps a month that happens to contain five of some weekday from leaning toward it.
Weekend
Saturday plus Sunday, UTC. With postings spread evenly across the week, 28.6% would land on those two days.
Lag to the feed
Hours between a board's posting time and this site's first sighting of the role in the public feed. Because feeds are read roughly daily, as much as a day of that gap is just waiting for the next read.
Apply click
A press of an apply button on RobotTraining.jobs that leads to an employer's application page, whether for one role or for an employer's general sign-up link. Bot traffic is filtered out when it is logged. Counted across the whole site, never per employer.
Window
Live page: the 28 most recent full days (UTC). Edition: a single calendar month (UTC).

Limits of this data

  • Click timing reflects where RobotTraining.jobs visitors are and when they browse. All days and hours are in UTC, so a peak marks when this audience is active, not when the wider market applies.
  • Posting times come straight from the job boards. A board that gives only a date may use its local date; boards with no date, or with a date after the role first appeared, are excluded, and each figure lists them.
  • The biggest boards weigh most in the hourly figures, and roles often go up in batches (one per city), so a handful of batches can make a single hour spike.
  • Hiring that happens without a public job board is not captured.
  • A click only opens an application; it says nothing about submission or hiring, and roles shown higher get more clicks.

Collection and classification of listings are explained on the methodology page. Freshness, completeness and consistency are tested daily in the data quality report.

Monthly editions

The live page spans the 28 most recent full days and updates daily. Every finished month also gets its own edition, locked two days after month end, so a number quoted from it stays fixed.

  • Live page28 most recent full days, rebuilt daily
  • October 2026 edition (you are here)Will lock when the next daily refresh runs
