What the data shows
- 1
AV & Drone Operators had more open roles than any other kind of robot training work on 31 Oct 2026: 544 of 1,150 (47.3%).
- 4
By the time they came down, roles removed in the window had been up for a median of 50.2 days, ranging from 27.1 days in Data & Demonstration Collection to 277.6 in Robot Task Evaluation & QA.
- 5
People in any country can apply to 0.3% of open roles; the widest choice went to residents of United States (700), Germany (78) and United Kingdom (72).

Base: Open roles on the 100 employer job boards that RobotTraining.jobs checks each day and that still listed roles on 31 Oct 2026: 706 as 1 Oct 2026 began and 1,150 as 31 Oct 2026 closed.
On any given day, a role is open when its listing date has passed and the employer's feed still carries it.
Change looks only at employers tracked on both days. Saildrone, Tesla, Instawork, AeroVect, TransPerfect DataForce, Manna, Beep, Mindy Support, Zoox, Skyports Drone Services, CHAOS Industries, Matternet, Sovrano AI, Robot.com (Kiwibot), Foundation Robotics, Wing, REVEL, Rugged Robotics, PlusAI, Enact Intelligence, Pickle Robot, Droyd, Innodata, Claru, TELUS Digital AI Community, Nidus, Ambi Robotics, Aerospace engineering firm, Applied Intuition, Moove, Scout AI, Mind Robotics, Performance Drone Works, Starship Technologies, HireArt, Coco Robotics, Latitude AI, Symbotic, Alignerr, Transdev, RemoExperts, Gecko Robotics, Overland AI, Flexdrive (Lyft), Keywords Studios, Arctic Engines, DoorDash Labs, Workstream, Telexistence, 120ft, ALTEN Technology USA, Amazon Prime Air, Skyways and Pyka were picked up partway through the window, and are counted in the end total (436 roles) while staying out of the change.
A row with under 174.8 roles open at the start carries a small-sample mark and is left unranked: under that count, the average across all rows says more than the row's own roles open at the start do (a weight fitted on the counts themselves).

Listings added and taken down, by kind of work
Which kinds of work are getting new listings, and which are losing them?
| Kind of work | New listings | Removed | |
|---|---|---|---|
| AV & Drone Operators | 90 | 61 | +29 |
| Robot Fleet Operations | 53 | 72 | -19 |
| Egocentric & Wearable Capture | 8 | 17 | -9 |
| Embodied-AI Data Annotation | 8 | 12 | -4 |
| Robot Teleoperation | 8 | 20 | -12 |
| Data & Demonstration Collection | 6 | 15 | -9 |
| Robot Task Evaluation & QA | 2 | 5 | -3 |
Base: On the 100 employer job boards that RobotTraining.jobs checks each day and that still listed roles on 31 Oct 2026, from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026: 175 new listings and 202 removals.
New listing: a role that first shows up during the window, from an employer tracked since before that week. The week an employer joins this dataset is skipped, since it brings in the back catalogue rather than fresh hiring.
Removed: the role dropped out of the employer's feed during the window. Employers give no reason, so a removal may mean the opening was filled, paused or closed.
Net change and the change in open roles need not match. A role that is posted and taken down within the same window shows up in both columns.

Figure 4
How long roles stay listed
Once posted, how long is a robot training role left up before removal?
| Kind of work | Median days listed | |
|---|---|---|
| All kinds of work | 50.2 | 162 |
| Robot Task Evaluation & QA | 277.6 | 5 |
| AV & Drone Operators | 73.5 | 43 |
| Robot Teleoperation | 49.8 | 20 |
| Robot Fleet Operations | 44.4 | 63 |
| Egocentric & Wearable Capture | 31.1 | 12 |
| Embodied-AI Data Annotation | 28.5 | 9 |
| Data & Demonstration Collection | 27.1 | 10 |
Base: 162 roles that came down from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026 and have a listing date on record.
Days listed run from the date the job board gives for the posting (or, without one, the role's first day in the feed) up to the last day the role was seen.
A median built from fewer than 3 removed roles is flagged as a small sample.

Figure 5
New listings per week
Week to week, are robot training employers posting more roles or fewer?
| Week | New listings | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 4 OctPartial week | 8 | 21 |
| 5 to 11 Oct | 47 | 18 |
| 12 to 18 Oct | 8 | 35 |
| 19 to 25 Oct | 75 | 27 |
| 26 to 31 OctPartial week | 37 | 101 |
Base: Weekly counts from the 100 employer job boards that RobotTraining.jobs checks each day and that still listed roles on 31 Oct 2026, 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026. Weeks are ISO weeks, Monday to Sunday in UTC.
New listings skip the week each employer first entered this dataset, because that week holds its back catalogue.
When the month boundary splits a week, its label gives only the days inside the month and the week is flagged as partial.

Where applicants may live
How many robot training roles can be applied to from any country?
| Location rule | Open roles | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Open worldwide | 3 | 0.3% |
| Only listed countries | 1,147 | 99.7% |
Base: 1,150 roles still open at the close of 31 Oct 2026.
Each rule comes from the location text on the posting. If that names no country, the posting's own description is checked for one, and when both say nothing the employer's own statement about where it hires is used.

Base: Top 20 countries, out of 1,150 roles still open at the close of 31 Oct 2026.
Each country's total adds three groups, the same way the job board filters by country: worldwide roles, roles whose country list includes it, and roles whose exclusion list leaves it out.
0 roles state no location rule at all. The job board shows them to everyone, so they are added to every country here too.
The list shows only countries named by at least one posting. Anyone living elsewhere can still apply to the worldwide roles in the top row.

Buy the data behind this report
This report sums up records we gather ourselves, day after day:
1,432 robot training roles followed, history included
Every role on 100 employer job boards, read each day since 12 Sep 2026: its pay, its place, and the first and last day it was up.
536 apply clicks over 28 days
Which robot training roles people really apply to, by kind of work, pay and place. The clicks happen here, so no one else can count them.
25 sourced industry datasets
Funding, revenue, deals, fleets, deployments and prices across the robot training industry, each record linked to the publication it comes from.

How it was measured
Every day this site reads the public job boards of the robot training employers and programs it follows. A single database query produces each figure for the window shown, and the live page and every monthly edition run that identical query. The note under each figure gives its base.
- Coverage
- Which employers and programs RobotTraining.jobs reads in full, board by board, each day. Every figure notes how many boards went into it.
- Open role
- On a given day, a role that has been posted and still shows in the employer's feed.
- New listing
- A role seen for the first time during the window, at an employer this site was already following the week before. Whatever an employer has up in its first tracked week is back catalogue and does not count as new.
- Removed listing
- A role that dropped out of its employer's feed within the window.
- Days listed
- For a role that came down: the span from its listing date to the final day its feed still showed it.
- Kind of work
- A role's title and description place it in one of the seven kinds of robot training work this site follows, ranging from robot teleoperation and demonstration collection through egocentric capture, embodied-AI annotation, robot evaluation and fleet operations to AV and drone operation. Each kind has a page of its own.
- Listing date
- The posting date the employer's job board shows, or, failing that, the first day the role turned up in the feed. A role that came in with an employer's back catalogue and carries no date has no known listing date.
- Location rule
- Taken from the location text of each listing or, when that text names no country, from what the listing's own description says: worldwide, worldwide with named exceptions, named countries only, or no rule given.
- Window
- Live page: the 28 most recent full days (UTC). Edition: a single calendar month (UTC).
Limits of this data
- Hiring that happens off public job boards is invisible here, and some data-collection programs sign people up inside an app instead of posting a job.
- A posting does not equal a hire. Certain employers leave evergreen roles up for months, and others post the same role once per city or country.
- When a listing disappears, the role may have been filled, put on hold or cancelled; employers do not say which.
- If one role is posted twice, the copies are merged during the daily read.
Collection and classification of listings are explained on the methodology page. Freshness, completeness and consistency are tested daily in the data quality report.
Monthly editions
The live page spans the 28 most recent full days and updates daily. Every finished month also gets its own edition, locked two days after month end, so a number quoted from it stays fixed.
- Live page28 most recent full days, rebuilt daily
- October 2026 edition (you are here)Will lock when the next daily refresh runs
