What the data shows
- 1
On 31 Oct 2026, Avride had 15 open roles: 1.3% of the 1,150 open at the 100 employers RobotTraining.jobs tracks, the 9th highest count.
- 2
Taking each week's closing count, Avride moved from 38 open roles on 4 Oct 2026 to 15 by 31 Oct 2026 (-60.5%); its high point was 45 on 18 Oct 2026.
- 3
80.0% of its open roles are in Robot Fleet Operations, a kind in which Avride accounts for 5.1% of every open role (the 5th largest share among 30 employers); across the board it posts in 3 of the 7 kinds of work that had openings.
- 4
As of 31 Oct 2026, 20.0% of its open roles put an hourly rate in the listing. Across their 3 distinct rates, the median is $25/hr and typical pay $25/hr, compared with $25/hr for the rates other employers post.
- 5
None of its 15 open roles are open to people applying from anywhere (0.3% at other employers); all are restricted to certain countries, the United States chief among them (named by all 15).
- 6
Between 1 Oct 2026 and 31 Oct 2026, Avride put up 10 new listings and took down 32 (a median of 36.4 days online before coming down, versus 53.4 days at other employers); its open count moved from 37 to 15 (-59.5%).
- 7
Of the 15 roles Avride lists with a full description, 0.0% require a college degree, 66.7% a driver's license and 13.3% a background check (at other employers that publish descriptions: 5.6%, 49.2% and 17.8%).
- 8
The median Avride application form has 16 fields against 15 at other employers; of its 15 forms, 86.7% make a resume mandatory, 86.7% request a LinkedIn profile and all include custom questions.
Figure 1
Avride next to the rest of the market
Next to every other robot training employer, how big is Avride, what does it pay, who can apply and how fast do its listings turn over?
| Measure | Avride | Other employers | Rank (1st = top) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jobs live on 31 Oct 2026 | 15 | 1,135 | 9th of 100 |
| Share of the whole market | 1.3% | 98.7% | 9th of 100 |
| Newly posted in this period | 10 | 165 | joint 4th of 100 |
| Kinds of work listed | 3 | 7 | joint 3rd of 100 |
| Open roles with a posted hourly rate | 20.0% | 30.5% | joint 48th of 100 |
| Median advertised pay | $25/hr | $25/hr | joint 10th of 20 |
| Open roles accepting any country | 0.0% | 0.3% | joint 2nd of 43 |
| Median days up before removal | 36.4 days | 53.4 days | 9th of 11 |
Base: Snapshot at the close of 31 Oct 2026: 15 open roles at Avride and 1,135 across the 99 other employers RobotTraining.jobs tracks, with listings drawn from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026.
"Other employers" pools every remaining employer tracked over the same dates: their counts are added together and their medians come from all of their distinct rates at once.
Pay follows the job board's own method: each distinct advertised rate counts once (the midpoint of a range; a role reposted at the same rate is not counted again), and a ceiling alone ("up to $X/hr") is tallied but kept out of the figures, since it is not a rate. Typical pay is the 25th percentile of what roles pay (the middle of each advertised range) to the 90th-percentile advertised ceiling; both it and the median are rounded to the nearest $5 ($1 below $20), just as every job list shows them.
Ranks run across the 100 employers that had open roles. An employer is ranked on a measure only once it clears that measure's floor. For a share, the floor is fitted on every employer's own count, so its open roles must outweigh the average they are set against (0.4 open roles for posting a rate, 2.8 open roles for accepting any country); a pay median needs 3 distinct posted rates and days listed needs 3 removed roles with a known listing date. On days listed, the longest comes first.

Weekly count of open roles at Avride
Are Avride's robot training listings growing or shrinking from week to week?

| 1 to 4 OctPartial week | 38 | 1 | 0 |
| 5 to 11 Oct | 44 | 6 | 0 |

Base: Avride's listings grouped into ISO weeks (Monday to Sunday, UTC) from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026, 5 weeks on record.
Each week's open count is taken at its close (Sunday, UTC); a week the window cuts short is counted on the window's last day. Roles inherited with the employer's back catalogue never count as new listings.
Weeks cut short by the window show the dates they cover and are flagged as partial.

Figure 3
What Avride hires for
What kinds of robot training work does Avride post, and how big a slice of each kind's openings belongs to it?
| Kind of work | Open roles | Share of its roles | Its slice of all openings in the kind | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Robot Fleet Operations | 12 | 80.0% | 5.1% | 5th of 30 | n/a |
| AV & Drone Operators | 2 | 13.3% | 0.4% | joint 21st of 43 | n/a |
| Robot Task Evaluation & QASmall sample | 1 | 6.7% | 11.1% | joint 3rd of 6 | n/a |
Base: Avride's 15 open roles at the close of 31 Oct 2026. Market shares divide by the 1,150 roles open that day across all 100 employers.
Every role is sorted into one of the site's seven kinds of robot training work, based on what its title and description say.
Ranks within a kind count only the employers with open roles in that kind. No median is given below 3 distinct advertised rates, the same floor the job board uses.
A row with under 50.1 open roles in the kind carries a small-sample mark and is left unranked: under that count, the average across all rows says more than the row's own open roles in the kind do (a weight fitted on the counts themselves).

Figure 4
What Avride advertises it pays
Does Avride put a rate on its listings, and does it pay more or less than other employers for the same kind of work?
| Roles | Stating an hourly rate | Its median per hour | Other employers' median | Its median against theirs | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| All its open roles | 20.0% | $25 | $25 | $25 | -5.7% | 3 | 3 | 0 |

| Robot Task Evaluation & QASmall sample | 0.0% | n/a | n/a | n/a | n/a | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Base: On 31 Oct 2026, 3 of Avride's 15 open roles carried an hourly rate (3 distinct rates, plus 0 ceilings given as "up to"), against 346 of 1,135 at other employers.
No median is given below 3 distinct advertised rates, the same floor the job board uses. A comparison within a kind of work needs 3 distinct rates on both sides. The same-kinds row averages the gap over every kind where both sides clear that bar, weighting each kind by the employer's distinct rates in it. That way an employer that simply lists higher-paid work does not look like it pays more for identical work.

Figure 5
Avride's posted pay over recent weeks
Has the hourly rate Avride posts gone up or down from one week to the next?
| Week | Median per hour | Typical pay | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 4 OctPartial week | n/a | n/a | 2 | 2 |
| 5 to 11 Oct | $25 | $25 | 3 | 3 |
| 12 to 18 Oct | $25 | $25 | 3 | 3 |
| 19 to 25 Oct | $25 | $25 | 3 | 3 |
| 26 to 31 OctPartial week | $25 | $25 | 3 | 3 |
Base: For each ISO week (Monday to Sunday, UTC), the roles Avride still had up at its close with an hourly rate in the listing, 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026.
A week's figures cover only the roles still up when it closed.
No weekly median is given below 3 distinct advertised rates.
A shift from week to week may come from new or removed listings at different rates just as much as from a rate edited on an existing role. It tracks what the employer posted, not what any worker earned.

Figure 6
Where applicants for Avride roles can be based
Can people apply to Avride from any country, or only from certain ones?
| Location rule | Its open roles | Share of its roles | Share on other employers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open worldwide | 0 | 0.0% | 0.3% |
| Worldwide except listed countries | 0 | 0.0% | 0.0% |
| Only listed countries | 15 | 100.0% | 99.7% |
| No rule stated | 0 | 0.0% | 0.0% |
Base: Avride's 15 open roles on 31 Oct 2026, set beside the 1,135 open at other employers.
Each rule comes from the location written in the posting. Where that names no country, the posting's own description is read instead, and if both say nothing, the employer's own statement about where it hires fills the gap. The rule only covers where applications are accepted. Tax, payment and work-permit rules may still apply.

Figure 7
Where Avride's country-limited roles are open
Which countries appear when Avride restricts a role to certain places?
| Country | Limited roles naming it | Share of its country-limited jobs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | 15 | 100.0% | 15 |
Base: On 31 Oct 2026, 15 of Avride's 15 open roles took applications only from named countries, and 15 of those named just one. 1 country in total.
A role that lists several countries is counted under each one. "Open only there" counts roles whose list holds this country and no other.
A country carries a small-sample flag when the employer's country-limited roles are too few to outweigh the average across employers for that country (the weight is fitted on every employer's own count).

New and taken-down listings at Avride
How many roles did Avride put up, and how many came down?

| New listings | 10 | 165 |
| Removed listings | 32 | 170 |
| Open as 31 Oct 2026 closed | 15 | 1,135 |
Base: Avride's listings, 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026.
A new listing is a role that first appeared during the window, not counting the employer's opening week in this dataset. A removed listing dropped out of the feed during the window. One role can be both.
The opening count for other employers skips any employer whose tracking began inside the window.
32 of its 32 removals (100.0%) landed on one day, 28 Oct 2026. A single big overhaul of its board can swing the whole window's numbers.

Base: 32 roles with a known listing date that Avride took down from 1 Oct 2026 to 31 Oct 2026, median 36.4 days; other employers: 53.4 days across 130 roles.
Days listed run from the posting date on the job board (or, failing that, the role's first day in the feed) to the last day the role was seen. Back-catalogue roles with no posting date are excluded.
No median is given below 3 removed roles. Employers never say why a role came down: it could have been filled, put on hold or closed.

What Avride calls the work
Does Avride title its roles operator, teleoperator, driver, technician or data collector, and how often each?

| Test or evaluation operator | 1 | 6.7% | 9.5% | n/a |
| None of these words | 0 | 0.0% | 7.2% | n/a |
Base: Avride's 15 open roles on 31 Oct 2026, sorted by the words in each title, using the word list from the job titles report.
One title can contain more than one of these words ('Robot Teleoperator (AI & Robotics)') and counts under each, so the shares can total over 100%. Matching is on whole words and ignores case.
No median is given below 3 distinct advertised rates, the same floor the job board uses.

Robots and vehicles Avride hires for
Which robots and vehicles does Avride name in its job titles?
| Robot or vehicle | Its open roles | Share of its roles | Its share of every title naming this robot or vehicle | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Robots (unspecified) | 11 | 73.3% | 4.9% | n/a |
| Cars and robotaxis | 2 | 13.3% | 0.4% | n/a |
Base: On 31 Oct 2026, 13 of Avride's 15 open roles had a robot or vehicle in the title, 2 different ones in all.
Titles are matched on whole words against the robots and equipment report's list. A title that names two counts twice; a role that involves a robot or vehicle but never names one in its title is missed.
No median is given below 3 distinct advertised rates, the same floor the job board uses.
A row with under 50.2 open roles naming the robot or vehicle carries a small-sample mark and is left unranked: under that count, the average across all rows says more than the row's own open roles naming the robot or vehicle do (a weight fitted on the counts themselves).

| Mentions contractor or freelance terms | 0 | 0.0% | 7.8% |
Base: Full descriptions for 15 of Avride's 15 open roles on 31 Oct 2026, set against 1,135 roles from the 99 other employers and programs whose boards publish descriptions. Median weekly hours stated: 28.
Read with the requirements report's readers: degrees, licences, age, lifting, years and background checks count only as requirements (a preference does not count); hours, drug tests, shifts and terms count wherever the description mentions them.
Years and hours get a median only when 3 or more roles state them. For an hours range, the lower number is used.
None of the rows with described roles carries a small-sample mark: they vary so widely that each one stands on its own from the first.

Robot hiring brief: free, once a month
The robot-training job market in figures, on the first weekday of each month: open roles, what opened and closed, who added and who cut, and posted pay by kind of work. To your work email.
How it was measured
Every day this site reads the public job boards of the robot training employers and programs it follows. Every Avride figure is drawn solely from its own public listings, with full descriptions and application forms read wherever its job board provides them. A single database query produces each figure for the window shown, and the live page and every monthly edition run that identical query. The note under each figure gives its base.
- Other employers
- All employers and programs this site reads except Avride, pooled over the same window: counts are added up and medians are computed across all their advertised rates at once. That way Avride is set against the rest of the market rather than a market it is part of.
- Rank
- Where it sits among employers with open roles on the window's final day, highest first (longest first for days listed). A share is ranked only when the employer's open roles are enough to stand on their own among employers (a weight fitted on every employer's own counts pulls small ones toward the average share); a pay median needs 3 distinct advertised rates and days listed 3 removed roles. An employer short of one of these gets no rank on that measure.
- Open role
- On a given day, a role that has been posted and still shows in the employer's feed. In the weekly series, open roles are counted at each week's close (Sunday, UTC).
- Back catalogue
- Whatever an employer already had posted in its first tracked week. The weekly series flags that week, does not count its roles as new listings and omits every earlier week.
- New listing
- A role seen for the first time during the window, at an employer this site was already following the week before.
- Removed listing
- A role that dropped out of its employer's feed within the window. If most removals or additions land on a single day, the figure points that out, since one big change to a board can swing the window's totals.
- Days listed
- For a role that came down: the span from its listing date to the final day its feed showed it. A median needs 3 or more such roles with a known listing date.
- Advertised pay
- Worked out exactly as the job board works out pay for any list of roles, so a median here matches the one on Avride's pay page for the same roles. Each distinct advertised rate counts once (the midpoint of a range; a role put up again at the same rate is not counted twice), and an "up to $X/hr" figure is a ceiling rather than a rate, so it is tallied but kept out. Typical pay covers the range from the 25th percentile of what roles pay (the middle of each advertised range) to the 90th-percentile advertised ceiling. Both it and the median are rounded to $5 ($1 below $20) and need 3 or more distinct rates.
- Like-for-like pay comparison
- In each kind of work where the employer and the other employers each state 3 or more distinct hourly rates, divide its median by theirs and subtract one. Average across those kinds, weighting by the employer's distinct rates, so an employer that simply posts higher-paid kinds of work does not look like it pays more for the same job. Two qualifying kinds are required.
- Location rule
- Taken from the location text of each listing or, when that text names no country, from what the listing's own description says: worldwide, worldwide with named exceptions, named countries only, or no rule given.
- Kind of work
- A role's title and description place it in one of the seven kinds of robot training work this site follows, ranging from robot teleoperation and demonstration collection through egocentric capture, embodied-AI annotation, robot evaluation and fleet operations to AV and drone operation. Each kind has a page of its own.
- Title word, robot or vehicle, capture
- Matched in titles as whole words using the word lists of the job titles report and the robots and equipment report. One title may match several.
- Required
- A degree, a licence, a minimum age, years of experience or a background check the description requires, read with the requirements report's reader (a preference does not count).
- Application form
- Everything a candidate fills in on the employer's own application page, collected from its applicant-tracking system. Required means the form cannot be sent until that field is filled in.
- Window
- Live page: the 28 most recent full days (UTC), and for the weekly series the twelve most recent full ISO weeks, none earlier than the week of 14 Sep 2026. Edition: a single calendar month (UTC), with its weeks trimmed at the month boundaries.
Limits of this data
- Hiring done without a public job board is not captured, and an employer can staff projects it never posts. Its listings show what it advertises, not all of its hiring.
- A posting does not equal a hire. Certain employers leave evergreen roles up for months, and others post the same role once per city or country.
- Listings only: how many people apply to an employer is never published here.
- These are advertised rates. Overtime, shift premiums and bonuses can change what a worker actually takes home.
- Only some job boards publish full descriptions and application forms, so those figures exist only for employers on such boards and reflect the roles open on the day of the read.
- When a listing disappears, the role may have been filled, put on hold or cancelled; employers do not say which.
Collection and classification of listings are explained on the methodology page. Freshness, completeness and consistency are tested daily in the data quality report.
Monthly editions
The live page spans the 28 most recent full days and updates daily. Every finished month also gets its own edition, locked two days after month end, so a number quoted from it stays fixed.
