Key findings
- 1
Figure AI listed 8 open roles on 9 Oct 2026, 1.1% of the 745 open across the 60 employers RobotTraining.jobs reads, the joint 9th most.
- 2
Counted at the end of each week, Figure AI went from 16 open roles on 20 Sep 2026 to 13 on 4 Oct 2026 (-18.8%).
- 3
7 of its 8 open roles are in Robot Teleoperation, where Figure AI holds 8.1% of all open roles, the 2nd largest share of 23 employers; it lists 2 of the 7 kinds of work with open roles.
- 4
All 8 of its open roles state an hourly rate, with a median of $30/hr (middle half $30 to $31), against $26/hr across other employers' priced roles.
- 5
None of its 8 open roles are open to applicants in any country (0.8% on other employers); all are limited to listed countries, most often the United States (named by all 8).
- 6
From 12 Sep 2026 to 9 Oct 2026, Figure AI posted 1 new listing and removed 9; it was first tracked on 12 Sep 2026.
- 7
An application form at Figure AI has a median of 8 fields (15 on other employers' forms); none of its 8 forms require a resume, all ask for a LinkedIn profile and none add questions of their own.
- 8
The title word Figure AI uses most is "Operator" (6 of its 8 open roles), against 33.8% of other employers' open roles.

| Open roles accepting any countrySmall sample | 0.0% | 0.8% | n/a |
| Median days listed, removed rolesSmall sample | n/a | 27 days | n/a |
Sample. 8 roles Figure AI listed open at the end of 9 Oct 2026, beside the 737 open on the other 59 employers RobotTraining.jobs reads; listings from 12 Sep 2026 to 9 Oct 2026.
Other employers: every other employer read over the same window, pooled (counts are summed, medians are taken over all their roles together).
Rank among the 60 employers with open roles; shares need at least 10 open roles, a pay median 8 roles stating a rate and days listed 10 removed roles with a known listing date, so an employer below a threshold is not ranked on it. Days listed rank longest first.
Listings only: what the employer's public job board shows.

Figure 3
What Figure AI hires for
Which kinds of robot training work does Figure AI list, and how much of each market does it hold?
| Kind of work | Open roles | Share of its roles | Its share of the kind's open roles |
|---|---|---|---|
| Robot TeleoperationSmall sample | 7 | 87.5% | 8.1% |
| Robot Fleet OperationsSmall sample | 1 | 12.5% | 1.0% |
Sample. 8 roles Figure AI listed open at the end of 9 Oct 2026; market shares are of the 745 roles open on all 60 employers that day.
Kinds of work are this site's seven categories of robot training work, each role classified from its title and description.
Its rank in the kind is among the employers with open roles in it. A median needs at least 8 roles stating an hourly rate.

Figure 4
What Figure AI advertises it pays
How often does Figure AI state its pay, and how does it compare with other employers for the same work?
| Roles | Stating an hourly rate | Its median per hour | Other employers' median | Its median against theirs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All its open roles | 100.0% | $30 | $26 | +15.4% |
| Robot TeleoperationSmall sample | 100.0% | n/a | $26 | n/a |
| Robot Fleet OperationsSmall sample | 100.0% | n/a | $22 | n/a |
Sample. 8 of the 8 roles Figure AI listed open on 9 Oct 2026 state an hourly rate; other employers: 101 of 737.
Pay is the hourly figure a posting advertises (the middle of a stated range). The middle half runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile.
A median needs at least 8 roles stating a rate, on each side for a comparison. The row compared within the same kinds of work averages the kinds where both sides have enough, weighted by the employer's priced roles in each, so an employer listing better-paid work is not read as paying more for the same work.

Figure 5
Who may apply to roles at Figure AI
Are the roles Figure AI lists open to applicants anywhere, or limited to some countries?
| Location rule | Its open roles | Share of its roles | Share on other employers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open worldwide | 0 | 0.0% | 0.8% |
| Worldwide except listed countries | 0 | 0.0% | 0.0% |
| Only listed countries | 8 | 100.0% | 99.2% |
| No rule stated | 0 | 0.0% | 0.0% |
Sample. 8 roles Figure AI listed open on 9 Oct 2026, against the 737 open on other employers.
The rule is read from each posting's location text and, where the posting is silent, from what the employer states about where it hires. A rule says where applications are accepted; tax, payment and work-permit rules can still apply.

Figure 6
Countries Figure AI names in its limited roles
When Figure AI limits a role to some countries, which countries does it name?
| Country | Limited roles naming it | Share of its limited roles |
|---|---|---|
| United StatesSmall sample | 8 | 100.0% |
Sample. 8 of the 8 roles Figure AI listed open on 9 Oct 2026 accept applicants only from listed countries; 8 of them name a single country. 1 country named.
A role naming several countries counts for each. Open only there: roles whose list names this country alone.

Figure 7
Listings posted and removed by Figure AI
How many roles did Figure AI post and take down?
| Measure | Roles |
|---|---|
| Open at the start of 12 Sep 2026 | n/a |
| New listings | 1 |
| Removed listings | 9 |
| Open at the end of 9 Oct 2026 | 8 |
Sample. Listings by Figure AI from 12 Sep 2026 to 9 Oct 2026 (first tracked during the window).
New listings: roles first seen in the window, outside the employer's first week in this dataset. Removed: roles that left the feed during the window. A role can be both.
Figure AI was first tracked on 12 Sep 2026: roles first seen in that week are its back catalogue, not new listings, and it has no count at the start of the window.
The other employers' count at the start leaves out employers first tracked during the window.

How long roles at Figure AI stayed up
How long had the roles Figure AI removed been listed?
| Days listed | Removed roles | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Under 7 daysSmall sample | 1 | 11.1% |
| 7 to 13 daysSmall sample | 1 | 11.1% |
| 14 to 29 daysSmall sample | 0 | 0.0% |
| 30 to 59 daysSmall sample | 1 | 11.1% |
| 60 days or moreSmall sample | 6 | 66.7% |
Sample. 9 roles Figure AI removed from 12 Sep 2026 to 9 Oct 2026 with a known listing date (other employers: 27 days over 94 roles).
Days listed: from the listing date the job board states (or the first day the role appeared in the feed) to the last day it was seen. Roles that arrived with the back catalogue and state no date are left out.
A median needs at least 10 removed roles. A removed role may have been filled, paused or closed: employers do not say which.

Figure 9
What Figure AI calls the work
Which words does Figure AI use in its job titles: operator, teleoperator, driver, technician, data collector?
| Title word | Its open roles | Share of its roles | Share on other employers |
|---|---|---|---|
| OperatorSmall sample | 6 | 75.0% | 33.8% |
| TechnicianSmall sample | 1 | 12.5% | 8.8% |
| Teleoperator or robot pilotSmall sample | 1 | 12.5% | 7.2% |
| None of these words | 0 | 0.0% | 0.7% |
Sample. 8 roles Figure AI listed open on 9 Oct 2026, by the words in their titles (the same vocabulary as the job titles report).
A title can use several words ('Robot Teleoperator (AI & Robotics)') and counts for each, so shares add to more than 100%. Whole words, case-insensitive.

Method and definitions
The public job boards of the robot training employers and programs this site tracks, read every day. Figure AI's figures come from its own public listings only; full descriptions and application forms are read where its job board publishes them. Every figure is computed by one database query over the window shown, the same query for the live report and for every edition. Each figure states its sample beneath it.
- Other employers
- Every employer and program this site reads other than Figure AI, over the same window and pooled: counts are summed and medians are taken over all their roles together. Figure AI is compared with the rest of the market, not with a market that includes it.
- Rank
- Its place among the employers with open roles on the last day of the window, highest first (longest first for days listed). Shares need at least 10 open roles, a pay median 8 roles stating a rate and days listed 10 removed roles, so an employer below a threshold is not ranked on that measure.
- Open role
- A role listed by a given day and still in its employer's feed that day. Week by week, open roles are counted at the end of each week (Sunday, UTC).
- Back catalogue
- The roles already listed in the week an employer was first tracked. That week is marked in the weekly series and its roles are not counted as new listings; weeks before it are left out.
- New listing
- A role that first appeared during the window at an employer already tracked before that week.
- Removed listing
- A role that left its employer's feed during the window. When most removals or new listings fall on one day, the figure says so: one large change to a board moves the window's flow.
- Days listed
- From a removed role's listing date to the last day it was seen in its feed. A median needs at least 10 removed roles with a known listing date.
- Advertised pay
- The hourly figure a posting states (the middle of a stated range). Medians need at least 8 roles stating a rate; the middle half runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile.
- Compared within the same kinds of work
- For each kind of work where both the employer and the other employers state at least 8 hourly rates, its median over theirs, minus one; averaged across those kinds, weighted by the employer's priced roles, so an employer listing better-paid work is not read as paying more for the same work. It needs two such kinds.
- Location rule
- Read from each posting's location text: open worldwide, worldwide except listed countries, only listed countries, or no rule stated.
- Kind of work
- Each role is classified from its title and description into one of the seven kinds of robot training work this site tracks, from robot teleoperation and demonstration collection to egocentric capture, embodied-AI annotation, robot evaluation, fleet operations and AV and drone operation. Every kind links to its own page.
- Title word, robot or vehicle, capture
- Read from titles as whole words with the vocabularies of the job titles and robots and equipment reports; a title can count for several.
- Required
- A degree, a licence, a minimum age, years of experience or a background check the description requires, read with the requirements report's reader (a preference does not count).
- Application form
- The fields an applicant fills in on the employer's own application page, read from its applicant-tracking system. Required: the form will not submit without the field.
- Window
- Live: the last 28 complete days, in UTC, with the weekly series over the last twelve complete ISO weeks from the week of 14 Sep 2026 at the earliest. Edition: one calendar month, in UTC, its weeks cut at the month's edges.
What this data cannot tell you
- Employers that recruit without a public job board are not counted, and an employer may staff projects it never lists: its listings are what it advertises, not everything it hires for.
- A listing is not a hire. Some employers keep evergreen roles open for months, and some post one listing per city or country.
- Listings only: how many people apply to an employer is never published here.
- Pay is what postings advertise, not what workers are paid after overtime, shift differentials or bonuses.
- Full descriptions and application forms are published by some job boards only, so those figures appear only for the employers whose boards publish them, and describe the roles open on the day they were read.
- A removed listing may have been filled, paused or closed: employers do not say which.
How the job feeds are read and roles are classified: site methodology. How fresh, complete and consistent the data is, checked every day: data quality and coverage.
Editions
The live report covers the last 28 complete days and changes every day. Each complete month is also published as an edition, frozen two days after the month ends, so a figure you cite from an edition never moves.
