Key findings
- 1
0.8% of the 745 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 accepted applicants from any country; 99.2% were limited to listed countries and 0.0% excluded some.
- 2
Embodied-AI Data Annotation was the most open to the world (30% of roles open worldwide); Robot Teleoperation the least (0%).
- 3
Residents of the United States (366), Canada (43) and Germany (40) could apply to the most open roles; a resident of a country no posting names could apply to the 6 worldwide roles.
- 4
The United States was named by 48.7% of the roles limited to listed countries, and 97.7% of limited roles accepted a single country.

Sample. 745 roles open at the end of 9 Oct 2026; the 40 countries with the most, of 206 named by some posting.
A country's count is the roles open worldwide, plus roles whose list names it, plus roles whose exclusion list does not. Roles with no rule stated count for no country.
Median pay is over the roles open to that country that state an hourly rate (at least 8).

Countries excluded by roles open elsewhere
Which countries are left out of roles that are otherwise open worldwide?
No data in this window.
Sample. 0 roles open on 9 Oct 2026 that are open worldwide except listed countries.
Exclusions usually follow payment and sanctions rules: where an employer cannot pay or contract, not where it has no work.

Method and definitions
The public job boards of the robot training employers and programs this site tracks, read every day. Every figure is computed by one database query over the window shown, the same query for the live report and for every edition. Each figure states its sample beneath it.
- Location rule
- Read from each posting's location text: open worldwide, worldwide except listed countries, only listed countries, or no rule stated.
- Open to a country
- A role is open to residents of a country if it is open worldwide, its list names the country, or its exclusion list does not. Roles with no stated rule count for no country.
- Open role
- A role listed by a given day and still in its employer's feed that day.
- Advertised pay
- The hourly figure a posting states (the middle of a stated range). Medians need at least 8 roles stating a rate; the middle half runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile.
- Kind of work
- Each role is classified from its title and description into one of the seven kinds of robot training work this site tracks, from robot teleoperation and demonstration collection to egocentric capture, embodied-AI annotation, robot evaluation, fleet operations and AV and drone operation. Every kind links to its own page.
- Window
- Live: the last 28 complete days, in UTC. Edition: one calendar month, in UTC.
What this data cannot tell you
- Employers that recruit without a public job board are not counted, and some data-collection programs enrol people through an app rather than a job listing.
- A listing is not a hire. Some employers keep evergreen roles open for months, and some post one listing per city or country.
- A location rule says where an employer accepts applicants; most robot training work is also tied to a site, and tax, payment and work-permit rules still apply.
How the job feeds are read and roles are classified: site methodology. How fresh, complete and consistent the data is, checked every day: data quality and coverage.
Editions
The live report covers the last 28 complete days and changes every day. Each complete month is also published as an edition, frozen two days after the month ends, so a figure you cite from an edition never moves.
