Warning signs

How a fake robot-training offer gives itself away

Paying for the kit

Some recording projects need a phone or camera you own, and some ship you the device. Paying the employer or a recruiter for a camera kit, a course or a deposit before you can start or get paid is the surest mark of a scam.

Wages in crypto

On-site and driving jobs pay through ordinary payroll, and remote programs through payout services such as Deel, Stripe, Payoneer or Wise. A USDT salary or a crypto top-up means a task scam.

A job that lives in a chat

Employers take applications, interviews and contracts through their own site, app or job board. An offer you can only follow on WhatsApp or Telegram, with no posting you can find yourself, deserves suspicion.

Documents before an account

Background checks, driving-record reviews and payout details run inside the employer's own hiring process. Nobody genuine asks for a photo of your ID or your card in a message.

A rate nobody posts

Our board shows what each job type pays across its open jobs. Easy filming or labeling at an hourly rate no real posting comes near is there to hook you.

A countdown

"Last places today" or "answer within 12 hours" is meant to stop you checking. A genuine application will still be open tomorrow.

Fake interviews are their own trap. A genuine AI interview, such as micro1's, opens inside the employer's own site after you apply. To get comfortable with one first, try our interview practice.

Our reference list

The genuine sites and senders

For each employer: its own websites, plus the email addresses its help pages and our sourced review give. A link or sender missing from this list does not prove a scam, though it does not belong to that employer either.

Questions about job scams

How can I tell if a robot-training job offer is real?

Follow where it leads and look at what it wants from you. A genuine offer ends on the employer's own website, app or job board, where you apply and go through its screening: an AI interview or a test at a data program, a recruiter call and interviews at a lab, plus background and driving-record checks for vehicle jobs. A demand for money, a move to WhatsApp or Telegram, or a request for ID or bank details in a message points to a scam. Paste it above and we check the links, the sender and the pay for you.

Is this micro1 email real?

Genuine micro1 email comes from @micro1.ai, @micro1.io, @micro1.co, and its openings and your application sit on its own sites (micro1.ai). Its help pages say pay goes through Deel. To test an email, paste it above together with the sender's address. Is micro1 legit?

Should I ever pay to get a robot-training job?

A genuine employer pays you and does not charge you to apply, interview or start, and the FTC warns that honest employers never charge to hire. Some recording projects do require a phone or camera you own, bought yourself at an ordinary store, and some ship you the device; handing money to a recruiter for a kit, a course or a deposit that unlocks your pay is the classic scam.

A recruiter messaged me on WhatsApp. Is that a scam?

Not necessarily, but be careful. The FTC warns that job offers arriving out of the blue by text, WhatsApp or Telegram are very often scams that ask for money later. Whoever reached you, apply only through the employer's own site or job board, and stop the moment anyone in a chat brings up money, crypto, ID or bank details.

What happens to what I paste?

We keep none of it. The text is checked in memory, passed once to an AI model for its reading and then discarded; all we count is how many checks end in each verdict. The privacy policy covers this tool.

How do I report someone posing as an employer?

Tell the employer it pretended to be, using that employer's own website, and flag the account on the app or service where it found you. People in the US can file a report with the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
